This is used when:
- You're using Microsoft Teams directly from your laptop
- Zoom or any other conferencing app
- want to share your screen and audio with the room but not connect to a meeting
Connect your laptop to the BYOD box:
Tap the button with the 4 squares in it:
Tap Device Mode:
Tap ok on the Note pop up:
You should now see this screen:
To ensure audio output is going to the correct speaker if you want audio on the room speaker, go back to your laptop and click on the audio icon on the bottom right of your taskbar:
Look for the little arrow on your volume bar:
Select the device for the room speaker which should be named "Echo Cancelling Speakerphone (Yealink Room Audio)":
Note: ensure you don't use the other Yealink device.
You shoud have audio from your laptop coming out of the room speaker. You can adjust volume from either your laptop or from the Room Control Panel:
Once you have completed your meeting simply unplug your laptop from the BYOD box.
